The Starter Labs consist of several vulnerable by design servers created by the infosec community. At the same time, a small Windows domain is hosted with some client machines to get you started on testing Windows specific techniques. There are currently 20 machines in the Starter Lab to get you started while more are on the way already!

NOTE: Our Starter labs are currently in open beta testing which is why we are offering a discounted price.

During this open beta period, you might notice some changes in the labs and certain machines either disappearing or new ones added on a regular basis. Going forward new features will be added to add to the experience and we would welcome any feedback! Check out our roadmap to see what is planned. In the meantime, if you find a bug, please contact us by email support at our domain (secadvise).

If you are not satisfied with the labs during the trial period, you may cancel at any time before you get charged. Once you purchase a subscription, you will receive an email containing your membership info. From there you may login to this site again and manage your subscription. Please note, regardless of the trial, you may still cancel at any time afterwards.

If you have any questions or feedback, you can get in touch with us through the following methods:

  • Email: support at our secadvise domain
  • Slack: #support
  • Contact Form

Note: You will be automatically billed on a monthly basis once the trial period ends.

We believe that one of the most effective ways of learning cyber security is through hands-on experience. Given the legal ambiguities with practicing these offensive techniques and the potential impact these have on production servers/clients, we created virtualized environments that are isolated from the Internet to allow such techniques to be used without fear of repercussion. Secadvise’s Starter Labs are virtualized environments containing multiple computers which are meant to be broken into. These labs are meant to help individuals who are interested or currently engaged in the field of cyber security to learn, grow, and practice their offensive security skills, develop new techniques and test their processes along the way.

Currently our Starter Labs contain mainly vulnerable by design servers created by the infosec community which contain a bit of everything. From network service exploitation to reverse engineering to web application exploitation and more! We keep adding new machines all the time so keep scanning that network!

There are currently 20 machines (and counting) in the Starter Lab.

NOTE: We are still doing beta testing as we open up our labs. Please be patient as we extend our features and add more machines. If you wish to report a bug please contact us support at our domain (secadvise)

Thank you to everyone who has contributed! We have currently reached out to all authors of some of the machines in our labs to request permission for their use. If you find your machine in our labs or want to inquire if it is and haven’t been contacted, please send us an email: info at our domain (secadvise)!
